All characters must be anthropomorphic animals with primarily humanoid anatomy. Characters must be bipedal,
so body types such as taurs and nagas aren’t allowed.
You may choose whatever species you want for your character, whether it be a real animal, a fantasy animal
or a two-way hybrid between any species. Animals that are extinct are welcome as well.
Traits such as extra eyes, extra limbs etc. are not allowed. As a rule of thumb, if the design trait
needs a body horror label, it’s also not allowed!
Characters may be any color. There is free reign on fur colors, eye colors, hair colors etc.
When it comes to dressing your character, the theme of the group is modern fantasy, so keep that in mind!
Written Guidelines
All characters must be 18+.
Characters will be allowed to have the same first name or the same surname as another player or NPC
in the group, just please avoid using the same first and surname combo as someone else.
Starting player characters will all be from Reverie. As the map opens up, you will be able to make
characters from the unlocked territories.
Including sensitive topics in a character’s backstory is fine, just please be delicate when addressing
them and use appropriate trigger warnings. Please also be mindful when it comes to writing about mental
illnesses or disabilities.
All starting characters know nothing about what life is like outside of Reverie, and neither would
older generations of their family, meaning they would not have come into contact with any of the calamities yet.
Characters are allowed to have a criminal record, just please be reasonable with what crimes they have
committed. Murder is not a reasonable crime.
If you'd like to retcon something about your character, let the mods know about it! Details such as a character's
name or height can be changed easily, but if you want to do a large backstory rewrite, we will work with you.
